        Is it right for you?

8119 opened in 2024 with 128 homes and a rooftop pool and bar. There's a putting green, a pickleball court, valet and a concierge. Google reviews are nearly all 5 stars, and a good share of them come from tours rather than residents, so there isn't a long record yet. Preston Center's shops are about 10 minutes away on foot, and the site says the building is in the Highland Park school district.

        A good fit if

        • You want a brand new building with floor to ceiling windows and south facing patios toward downtown
        • You'd use a rooftop pool, bar and private dining room, plus a putting green and pickleball court
        • You want Preston Center shops and restaurants about 10 minutes away on foot

        Maybe not if

        • You want to see fees up front: no fee sheet is published on the site or on Apartments.com
        • You want nightlife on foot: the nearest bars on our list are more than an hour's walk away
        • You want a long track record: it opened in 2024, so there are few resident reviews yet
