Is it right for you?
Mondrian West Village is an older Uptown tower with big homes, gas fireplaces and a pool courtyard. West Village shops and the McKinney Avenue trolley are about 3 minutes away on foot. Residents like the location and staff. They complain most about the elevators and garage break ins.
A good fit if
You want a big home: plans run past 3,300 sq ft, including four bedrooms
You want West Village and McKinney Avenue on foot: the shops are about 3 minutes away, and the trolley runs past the door
You'd use a 24 hour concierge and a pet park on the 5th floor
Maybe not if
You want reliable elevators: residents wrote in 2024 and 2026 that three elevators are rarely all running
You want a secure garage: a June 2026 resident wrote that three cars were stolen from the garage in one night
You want everything new: the building is over 20 years old, and classic homes have older finishes than the renovated ones

Each dot is a written review we found. ZOM built the tower in 2005 and sold it to USAA Real Estate in May 2010. Kennedy Associates owned it from 2012, and an affiliate of Hasta Capital bought it in July 2021, the Dallas Morning News reported. ZRS manages it today. We couldn't find out since when.

Residents report car break ins in 2018 and 2023, and three cars stolen in one night in 2026.

A 2026 resident wrote that the building has settled and doors no longer sit square. The same resident says a rooftop A/C unit took a month to fix in 2025.
Noise: busy
The street scores 66 out of 100 (higher is quieter), mostly from traffic. A June 2026 resident wrote that bright flood lights shine into 5th floor bedroom windows.

The fee calculator, checked October 30, 2026, adds $82 a month: a $30 amenity fee, $30 trash, a $15 damage waiver and $7 pest control. Reserved parking is $50 to $75 a month. To apply, it's $100 per applicant and a $200 admin fee, and the deposit runs $200 to $1,000. The prices on the site's floor plans already include these fees.
Are the elevators reliable?
Not very. The tower has three elevators, and residents wrote in October 2024 that all three were rarely working at once. An October 2026 resident wrote that all three were down at one point. In February 2020 a water leak ran down the shafts and stopped every elevator for over a day.
Is the garage secure?
Residents have doubts. Car break ins come up in reviews from 2018 and 2023. A June 2026 resident wrote that three cars were stolen in one night and that a gate was left propped open. We ask the office what's changed before you sign.
Where do guests park?
A December 2025 resident wrote that guests pay $50 to park, and unpaid cars in guest spaces get towed fast.
What's the difference between renovated and classic homes?
Plans marked R on the site are renovated homes. Classic homes keep older finishes. A 2025 resident wrote that the home they moved into had much older appliances than the one they toured. Tour the exact home you'd sign for, not the model.
Does Mondrian West Village allow pets?
Yes. The fee calculator lists a $400 pet fee, $30 a month per pet and a $20 screening fee. There's a pet park with a washing station on the 5th floor. Size and breed rules aren't posted, so we check them for your pet before you apply.
