Cortland on McKinney has big one and two bedroom homes with travertine, hardwood and floor to ceiling glass. It has valet and a concierge desk, and Klyde Warren Park is about 4 minutes away on foot. Residents praise the front desk and valet staff by name. A few say the elevators and garage security slipped after Cortland bought it, and renovation noise ran through 2024 and early 2025. The homes are the reason to come here. The $199 a month in folded in fees is the number to run first.

Game and event nights at the American Airlines Center. The arena's calendar lists 37 Mavericks home games, 32 Stars home games and 14 concerts and shows between November 2, 2026 and April 27, 2027, most starting between 6:30 and 8:30 PM and a few on weekend afternoons. On those nights Victory Park streets and garages fill up before the start, and traffic out of the area moves slowly after the final buzzer or encore. If you're touring or moving in on a weeknight, ask us to check the arena calendar first. The American Airlines Center is under a mile from this tower.

Cortland folds its required monthly fees into the price it advertises but doesn't list them one by one. On the floor plans page in October 2026, every plan's price with fees was $199 a month over its base rent. So plan on $199 a month on top of base rent. Utilities billed by use are extra. Renters insurance with $300,000 of liability coverage is required, or Cortland's liability program at $15 a month.
Yes. Resident parking in the gated garage is free, with EV chargers, and valet is at the door. Reserved single or tandem spaces and private detached garages cost extra. The property doesn't publish the prices. A May 2026 resident wrote that people get into the garage and thefts were reported.
Mixed. A resident wrote in May 2026 that the elevators have kept breaking since the new owners came in and haven't been renovated. Another, in September 2026, called them a pain sometimes. Elevator complaints show up in reviews from 2017 and 2019 too. We ask how they've been running before your tour.
Yes, up to two cats or dogs, each up to 80 pounds. It's a $500 fee and $25 a month per pet. Rottweilers, Chows, Presa Canarios, Dobermans, Akitas, pit bull breeds, Cane Corsos and Mastiffs aren't accepted. There's a leash free bark park and a dog grooming station.
Cortland renovated after buying the tower at the end of 2023. Residents wrote in November 2024 and January 2025 about construction in and around the building and the noise and mess it brought. Reviews from 2026 mention building improvements and downtown construction but fewer complaints. We ask what work is left before your tour.
Cortland, since December 28, 2023, when it bought the tower and renamed it from 1900 McKinney. Hanover built it, Greystar managed it by 2015 and City Society by 2023. Google reviews are mostly 5 stars, and 69 of the 159 came in two bursts, spring 2024 and September 2026.
