One Uptown is the curved glass tower at McKinney and Routh, across the street from Whole Foods. Built in 2017, it has 196 homes, two pools and a 20th floor sky deck. Reviews like the views, the quiet walls and the staff. The tradeoff is weekend noise on Uptown's busiest bar corner.
A good fit if
- You want two pools: a rooftop pool on the 20th floor and a glass bottom pool on the 2nd
- You want errands on foot: Whole Foods across the street, the McKinney Avenue trolley and Klyde Warren Park about 11 minutes away

The arena's calendar lists 37 Mavericks home games, 32 Stars home games and 14 concerts and shows between November 2, 2026 and April 27, 2027, most starting between 6:30 and 8:30 PM and a few on weekend afternoons. On those nights Victory Park streets and garages fill up before the start, and traffic out of the area moves slowly after the final buzzer or encore. What fees come on top of rent?
The fee table on Apartments.com lists $110 a month in required fees: $30 valet trash, $5 pest control and a $75 community fee. Parking in the underground garage is $85 to $125 a month. To apply, it's $85 per applicant and a $250 admin fee.
Is it loud?
Inside, no: reviews from 2019 to 2026 say the walls between homes are very quiet. Outside is another story. One Uptown sits at McKinney and Routh. Reviews from 2019 to 2025 describe music, street racing and crowds from Thursday to Sunday night, worst on lower floors facing Routh Street. Higher floors do better.
Is One Uptown a condo building?
Partly. In May 2021 the owner announced plans to sell the homes as condos, and the county now lists the tower as a condo. The building still leases homes through its own office, so you rent from the building like any apartment.
Where are the pools?
There are two. The rooftop pool is on the 20th floor Sky Deck with a lounge, cabanas, grills and a fire pit. A glass bottom pool sits on the 2nd floor over the entrance.
Does One Uptown allow pets?
Yes, up to two pets with a 75 pound weight limit, and aggressive breeds aren't allowed. It's a $250 refundable deposit, a $500 pet fee and $35 a month per pet. There's a dog park on the 2nd floor, and Griggs Park is about eight minutes away.
Can guests stay over?
Yes. There are two furnished guest suites, and residents book them through the concierge.
