Is it right for you?
The Christopher sits on top of a Tom Thumb at The Union, about seven minutes on foot from Klyde Warren Park. It has valet, a concierge and a bartender in the 8th floor lounge. Residents like the staff and the finishes. On October 31, 2026 the cheapest one bedroom was $2,742, 13th cheapest of the 20 Uptown towers we track, so you're paying for the grocery store downstairs and the service. The recurring complaint is the elevators: three cars for 31 floors, often with one or two out.
A good fit if
You want groceries without leaving the building: a Tom Thumb is in The Union's base, with restaurants on the plaza
You'd use valet, a concierge and a resident bar with a bartender on the 8th floor
You want a washer and dryer, a gas range and a balcony in every home
Maybe not if
You want short elevator waits on a high floor: three elevators serve 31 floors, and residents describe one or two out for months in 2025
You want a quiet northwest view: residents hear bars across the parking lot until about 2 am on weekends
You want every monthly fee spelled out: the amenity fee isn't published, and residents in 2024 said it ran about $150

Three elevators serve 31 floors. Residents describe one or two out for weeks or months, worst from May to July 2025, and again in October 2026.
Shared garage
The garage is shared with The Union's visitors. A pickup was stolen from it in 2023, and a 2024 resident advised locking your car every time.
Noise: busy
The street scores 65 out of 100 (higher is quieter), mostly from traffic. Residents say northwest and north facing homes hear bars across the parking lot until about 2 am on weekends. Dallas 311 has logged two chronic noise complaints at the address since 2020.
Flood risk: low
FEMA puts this address outside its high risk flood area. Renters insurance doesn't cover floods, cars in the garage included.
Police reports
500 reports in the last 12 months in this small area around the building. 86 were against a person. A typical area this size nearby has 52.

On those nights Victory Park streets and garages fill up before the start, and traffic out of the area moves slowly after the final buzzer or encore. If you're touring or moving in on a weeknight, ask us to check the arena calendar first. The American Airlines Center is under a mile from this tower.

Questions people ask about The Christopher at the Union
Are the elevators at The Christopher reliable?
It's the most common complaint. Three elevators serve 31 floors. From May to July 2025, residents and visitors wrote that one car had been out for months. At one point two of the three were down, with 10 to 20 minute waits. A resident wrote in October 2026 that one or two work most of the time. We check how many are running before your tour.
What fees come on top of rent?
We found no fee sheet. Listings say an amenity fee covers valet, trash, pest control, package delivery and one unreserved garage space, but they don't give the amount. Residents put it at $150 a month in 2024. Utilities are separate, and renters insurance is required. To apply, it's $125 per applicant and a $350 admin fee. The deposit is $250 for a studio or one bedroom, $375 for a two bedroom and $500 for a three bedroom.
Is there really a grocery store in the building?
Yes. The Union has more than 85,000 square feet of shops and restaurants on the plaza, with a Tom Thumb as the main store. You get to it without going outside, which matters more in August than it sounds. It's the feature residents mention most.
Which side of the building is quietest?
Reviews say to avoid the northwest and north sides. Residents there wrote in 2024 and 2026 about music from bars and a club across the parking lot until about 2 am. Valet car alarms and loud cars in the drive below get mentioned as well. A 2024 resident found the walls between homes thin. If you can, tour a northwest home on a Saturday after 10 pm before you sign.
How does parking work?
Valet runs at the entrance, and one unreserved space in the shared garage comes with the amenity fee, listings say. Some homes have private garages at extra cost. A 2024 resident wrote that a second car cost $50 a month and that guest validation is clumsy.
Does The Christopher allow pets?
Yes, two cats or dogs per home, leashed at all times, and there's a pet wash. A listing site shows a $500 pet fee, a $250 deposit and $25 a month pet rent, with no aggressive breeds. We confirm the current terms before you apply. Go by what the lease says.
