A 26 floor brick and steel tower on Elm Street at the downtown end of Deep Ellum, part of The Epic. It opened in 2020 with a 7th floor pool facing downtown. Westdale built it and runs it.

Is it right for you?
The Hamilton is a newer tower at the edge of Deep Ellum, with restaurants downstairs and a pool deck that looks at downtown. Homes have wood floors and built in desks. On October 31, 2026 one bedrooms started at $1,805 for 822 square feet, about $2.20 a square foot, under The Case Building's $2.57 a few blocks east. Its 2.8 star Google rating is dragged down by 210 one star reviews since September 2023, after a 2023 eviction mistake made the news; 127 of them have no text at all. Residents mostly praise the leasing team. Their complaints are guest parking, weekend club noise and staff entering the wrong home.
A good fit if
You want Deep Ellum and downtown on foot: Elm & Good is downstairs and Terry Black's is about 12 minutes away
You'd use a 7th floor pool with cabanas and fire pits facing downtown, with the gym on the same floor
You like a home with character: wood floors, built in desks, Sonos speakers and a wine fridge in the island
Maybe not if
You want easy guest parking: residents wrote from 2021 to 2023 that there are only about 5 to 9 guest spaces, and guests get towed
You want quiet weekend nights: club music from the same block runs until after 2 am, a 2023 resident wrote
You want a building with no breed list: pit bulls, huskies, Dobermans, Rottweilers and others aren't allowed

Besides the 2023 eviction mistake, residents wrote in April 2025 and September 2026 that maintenance or leasing staff tried to open their door by mistake. A door was left unlocked after a fire inspection, too, residents said.
Guest parking
Reviews from 2021 to 2023 count only about 5 to 9 guest spaces and describe guests being towed.
Bike room break ins
Residents wrote in 2024 that the bike storage room had been broken into several times.
Noise: busy
The street scores 58 out of 100 (higher is quieter), mostly from traffic. Weekend club and restaurant music on Elm Street carries late, residents say, and Dallas 311 logged two chronic noise complaints at the address in February 2026.
Flood risk: low
FEMA puts this address outside its high risk flood area. Renters insurance doesn't cover floods, cars in the garage included.

Questions people ask about The Hamilton at The Epic
Why is The Hamilton's Google rating so low?
Mostly one event. In late July 2023, maintenance staff cleared out the wrong home during an eviction and threw a resident's belongings in a dumpster. The Real Deal reported it in September 2023, and the resident sued. After the story aired, 210 one star reviews followed from September 2023 on, and 127 of them have no text at all. Reviews from people who live here run mostly positive, and in 2026 the average is above 4 stars. Read the 2.8 as a news story, then read the resident reviews for the building.
What fees come on top of rent?
Apartments.com, read in October 2026, lists a $20 a month amenity fee and $25 a month for trash, both required. Utilities are separate. Renters insurance with $100,000 in liability is required. To apply, it's $75 per applicant and an $85 admin fee, and the deposit varies by home. Parking is free for one car per leaseholder; a reserved space is $85 a month.
Is there guest parking?
Only a little. Guests register their car online for 24 hours, and reviews from 2021 to 2023 count only about 5 to 9 guest spaces for the whole tower. Street parking on Elm has a 4 hour limit and fills up with restaurant traffic. The Epic's garage charges by the day, a 2023 review says. If friends drive over most weekends, this is the thing to settle before you sign, not after.
Is it loud at night?
It can be on weekends. A July 2023 resident wrote that music from the Komodo club and restaurants in the same block kept them up until after 2 am. The city logged two chronic noise complaints at the address in February 2026. A 2025 resident added that Elm Street is club central on weekends, though the tower sits at the quieter downtown end.
Does The Hamilton allow pets?
Yes, two pets. It's a $300 fee and a $150 deposit per pet, plus $25 a month. American Staffordshire terriers, Dalmatians, pit bulls, Siberian huskies, chows, Dobermans and Rottweilers, and their mixes, aren't allowed. There's a dog wash room, and Bark Park Central, the city dog park, is on Commerce Street in Deep Ellum.
Who runs The Hamilton?
Westdale Asset Management, whose name is on the official site. Westdale built the tower with StreetLights Residential and opened it in July 2020, and we found no sale since. The office team has changed a few times; recent reviews name Mia, Mario and Alexia in leasing.
