Main 3 Downtown

Lofts and a 17 floor tower on Main Street, across Elm from The National. Sentinel bought it in 2022 and renamed it from Third Rail Lofts. The homes have concrete floors and window walls. The site says the building connects to DART and the downtown tunnels.

Is it right for you?

Main 3 Downtown is a set of connected loft buildings and a 2006 tower in the middle of Main Street. Homes have concrete floors and window walls, and there's a pool terrace. Fees on top of rent are low, $31 a month in October 2026. The complaints are elevators that are often down, uneven upkeep and amenity rooms closed since a 2022 renovation notice.

A good fit if

  • You want loft style homes with concrete floors and floor to ceiling windows
  • You want coffee, food halls and DART about 3 minutes away on foot along Main Street
  • You want low fixed fees: the trash and amenity fees Apartments.com listed in October 2026 total $31 a month

Maybe not if

  • You need working elevators: a resident wrote in September 2026 that two of the three were out most of the year
  • You want room for a big dog: pets are capped at 35 pounds each
  • You want every amenity working: residents wrote about a broken hot tub in 2026 and closed rooms since 2022

Elevators

Three elevators serve the homes. Residents wrote in 2022 and 2026 that they're often out, sometimes all at once.

Code complaints

Dallas 311 shows 56 Code Compliance concerns at 1407 Main from October 2020 to October 2026, most of them in 2022 to 2024. The data doesn't say what they were about.

Noise: busy

The street scores 66 out of 100 (higher is quieter), mostly from traffic. A September 2026 resident on the Main Street and pool side wrote about loud cars on weekend nights and thin walls.

Flood risk: low

FEMA puts this address outside its high risk flood area. Renters insurance doesn't cover floods, cars in the garage included.

Police reports

982 reports in the last 12 months in this small area around the building. 294 were against a person. A typical area this size nearby has 52.

Keep our help free: on your first visit, tell the leasing team you're working with Dallas High Rise Apartments. On your application, choose "Locator" under "How did you hear about us?" and write our name.

Event nights nearby

Game and event nights at the American Airlines Center. The arena's calendar lists 37 Mavericks home games, 32 Stars home games and 14 concerts and shows between November 2, 2026 and April 27, 2027, most starting between 6:30 and 8:30 PM and a few on weekend afternoons. On those nights Victory Park streets and garages fill up before the start, and traffic out of the area moves slowly after the final buzzer or encore. If you're touring or moving in on a weeknight, ask us to check the arena calendar first. The American Airlines Center is under a mile from this tower.
